CfP: Sietar Poland Congress „Identities in the VUCA World“ – Deadline for Abstracts 30th April

Following the success of 2018 Krzyżowa Event, we are pleased to announce that the 6th SIETAR Polska Congress  will be held on 16th-17th October 2020 in Wielopolski Palace in Kraków.

The theme of this year’s congress: ‘Identities in the VUCA World, calls attention to the challenges and opportunities of managing and negotiating identities in today’s rapidly changing and unpredictable environments. By including the acronym ‘vuca’ in our conference theme we would like to invite you to join our comprehensive discussions and reflect on the conditions of ‘volatility’, ‘uncertaintly’, ‘complexity’ and ‘ambiguity’, which characterize our modern-day cultures. In particular, we want to explore how people are adapting to the age of change and acceleration and how the demands placed on them by growing interconnectivity and technological advances affect their personal, social, national/ethnic and professional identities.

With this in mind, we welcome speakers from diverse fields of knowledge: academics, educators, trainers, scientists, NGO’s representatives, students, HR and R&D experts, who are interested in sharing their experiences and perspectives at both organisational and community levels.

We invite submissions for a range of session formats:

  • TED style talk (20 min): a standard presentation followed by a question and answer session; jointly held with other presenters. Academic presentations should include descriptions of research aims and methods. Theoretical contributions are welcome too.
  • Workshop (90 min): features a combination of presentation/lecture and interaction with the audience. It should have a well-defined structure: handouts and visual ads are recommended. The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with practical tools and methodologies that can be used in future training.
  • Artistic presentation  (60-90 min): The most dynamic and innovative session format which relies on music, visual arts, drama or physical movement.
  • Round table (60 min):  A form of academic discussion held by a group of participants in response to questions distributed in advance by the organizer/submitted by the presenters *

Instructions for Submission:

To submit your proposal please complete an online submission form. Abstracts should be no more than 300 words. We accept proposals in both English and Polish, which are the official languages of Sietar Polska.

If you wish to submit more than one paper please send each abstract in a separate template.

The deadline for submitting proposals is 30th April 2020.  No proposals will be reviewed after this time.

Notice of acceptance will be given by 30th May.

The submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the Programme Committee of the SIETAR Polska Congress and selected based on the criteria of quality and subject relevance.

We look forward to receiving your presentations.
