Associate Professor in Organisational Communication at Syddansk Universitet (SDU) in Slagelse (Denmark) – Application deadline 27th August

The Department of Language and Communication invites applications for a position as Associate Professor in Organisational Communication. The person appointed will be expected to take up the position from 1st February 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter, at the university’s campus in Slagelse.Appointment as associate professor requires academic qualifications at a level that, in addition to a PhD, reflect a minimum of 3 years relevant research experience.Applicants should be able to document research production at an international level within organisational communication, broadly defined, preferably with interests in various aspects of culture, identity, change and knowledge as they manifest and develop in an organizational environment. In addition, relevant teaching qualifications and experience should be documented, and evaluations of teaching should be included in the application.

Duties will include teaching courses within organisational communication on the BA programmes in International Business Communication, and the Professional BA in English and Digital Marketing Communication, as well as supervision of student projects. In addition to research and teaching, the associate professor will be expected to perform a number of other tasks such as applications for external funding, internal and external assessment committees, and some general administrative tasks.The successful applicant would be expected to acquire a command of Danish within the space of two years and to participate in the normal educational and professional activities of the Department.For further information please contact the head of Department Sharon Millar: e-mail smillar@sdu.dk
