Goethe-Institut India in New Delhi is looking for a dedicated colleague as “Public Relations and Communication Manager” (fixed term of two years with the option to extend) to begin January 1, 2020.
Your tasks include primarily:
* Management of public relations activities in the areas of media (press, television, radio, online media), newsletters, print products and merchandise
* Management of press relations, specifically:
– Preparation of press releases
– Organization of press events
– Maintenance and expansion of long-term media contacts and partnerships
* Advising and supporting departments of Goethe-Institut India concerning
effective public communication of events and projects
* Development and implementation of communication concepts for selected focus areas and coordination of cross-departmental public relations meetings
* Digital communication activities on the website and on social media channels in consultation with the Director Information Services, the Online Editor and Social Media Manager
* Comprehensive quality management of public relations work (corporate design, compliance with quality standards, media resonance)
* Design and editing of publications, multimedia information and promotional
materials
* Budget management
You have the following prerequisites:
* Relevant experience in public relation work for a cultural institution
* Very good command of English and Hindi; knowledge of German is an asset
* Willingness to learn German
* Routine in the conception, drafting and copy editing of press releases and of text contributions for analog and digital media
* Good knowledge of the media landscape in India
* Good user knowledge of common office applications
* Strength in social competence and teamwork, very good communication skills
